CCA Step 4: Credibility and Reliability in Academic Journals

This step in the CCA exposed me to an abundance of new knowledge and a higher understanding of what an academic journal was. The first challenge presented to me when beginning step 4 was the selection of the article. It took a considerable amount of time to find a suitable article that had a substantial amount of information, related to marketing, and appeased to the general rubric of the assignment itself. Throughout the process of annotating the relevance section of the bibliography, I not only became proficient at annotating and analyzing peer-reviewed journals but also came to learn about how researchers developed and tested their methods in order to come to an applicable conclusion. Reading this article allowed me to come to appreciate the depth and detail possible within a small niche topic. Something as simple as showing short clips could be broken down into audio and visual analyzation, customer retention, customer perception, and a variety of other independent and dependent variables.
